Bank check the SD card and ensure information technology is unlocked. Re-insert the SD card. Without modding, SD cards on WiiU are kinda useless, the WiiU won't recognize it as extra storage. To test if they are reading properly, yous can launch MiiMaker and endeavour to do something with the SD options, launch WiiMode and try to practise something at that place, or attempt and run Homebrew Launcher or Loadiine on the SD using some exploits.

Make sure your bill of fare isn't locked when it's going into the Wii. Check the petty switch on the side. If it works in another device, re-insert the card into the SD card slot on the Wii panel and power the panel dorsum ON. Go back into the SD Card Menu. If no error appears, then it could exist that.

Create \apps\appname\ (e.q. \apps\homebrew_browser\) on your SD bill of fare. Put boot.dol (or sometimes boot.elf), meta.xml and icon.png into this path. Remove SD card from calculator. Put SD carte in Wii and start Homebrew Channel.

All apps should be there listed. If a disc won't play properly, start by checking the disc. A flaw in the disc could prevent the console from reading it.

Hold the bottom side of the disc to the light to see any smudges or scratches. If a smudge is the culprit, cleaning the disc often fixes the trouble. If you have non all the same updated your Wii console to Wii Menu four.0 (click here to notice out how) or higher, then your Wii console is simply compatible with SD Cards that are ii GB (Gigabyte) or less.

Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will probable non work with the Wii console if information technology has non been updated to 4.0 or higher. If your carte du jour is "locked", the Wii tin can't access it. Merely remove the carte & motion the tab to the unlocked position earlier re-inserting the card.

Click on the "SD" card icon and select the game or Wii Channel you want to launch past pressing the "A" button on your Wiimote. My proposition would be to format it in windows, but information technology would seem as if you can't exercise that. You could effort installing this in windows seven, and so format your SD card with information technology if the SD menu. Homebrew Channel won't read apps on SD card. Hey all, I'm having issues with my SD carte. I used to be able to access my apps from the Homebrew Menu, only upon booting the HBC today, I can't do anything.

I'1000 thinking my Wii'south SD carte slot might be giving. I'm assuming that the wii doesn't understand the format of your SD bill of fare. Sometimes, certain SD card brands don't work on the wii.

List of related literature:

Click the Digital Photographic camera/Prison cell Phone push button and the arrangement automatically scans the SD bill of fare for photos and videos (it doesn't matter what folder they're in — the Wii finds them all).
